Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from IRAs
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) may allow you to donate from your IRA to The Campership Fund without having to treat withdrawals as taxable income. A couple of things to consider:
You must at least be 70 ½ years of age at the time of distribution
The distribution must be made directly from your IRA custodian to TCF. It cannot pass through you first
QCD’s can be excluded from your gross income up to an annual limit (currently $108,000) that is indexed for inflation, potentially lowering your overall tax burden
If you are at least 73 years of age, a QCD can satisfy the annual required minimum distribution from your IRA (RMD)
