Beth Lerberg

I have been a long-time camp enthusiast, attending camp as an 8-year-old camper through college as a counselor. My love for working as a camp counselor laid the foundation for the decade I spent as a science teacher at a public high school in VA where I currently live.

My two children have also had the opportunity to attend the Christian Science camps, and it was the highlight of their summer. I am thrilled to continue supporting the camps through my role as Application Manager with The Campership Fund.

I love being outdoors with my family on the water or on a trail and when possible, we include our dogs in the activities be it boating, frisbee golfing, running, hiking, or mountain biking.

Cameron Martindell

Cameron loves camp! He has worked at Owatonna as the Waterfront Director and in both the Trips Leader and Trips Director roles. Cameron also worked for DiscoveryBound as a Regional Director for the central US where he traveled the region towing a camper trailer, visiting CS churches to help start DiscoveryBound Chapters. After a year of being on the road he transferred to the Western Region to continue building and supporting DiscoveryBound chapters. After his time at DiscoveryBound Cameron launched into a freelance writing career covering adventure travel and gear reviews.

Now, joining The Campership Fund as the Development Officer, Cameron is excited about the prospect of having a job where he gets to talk about camp all the time and support getting more youth to this transformative experience.

Cameron is a member of the Boulder, Colorado Church, has served on the church executive board as chairperson and supports the Sunday School as a backup Superintendent. Cameron and his family are regulars at the Adventure Unlimited camp cleanup days.

He lives in Boulder, Colorado with his wife Jordan and his two children. His daughter, Rosie is 9 and his son Rey is 6. Both children attended Camps Newfound-Owatonna last summer thanks to the help from The Campership Fund.

Jack Kavanagh

Hi there, I’m Jack Kavanagh, Outreach Director. I spent my youth searching to understand God; in my late twenties, I found Christian Science and knew that it was what I’d been looking for. Years after, my wife and I married and we had two children. As soon as the kids were old enough to sit on a horse, we attended Family Camp.

While at the Camps for Christian Scientists we had some life-changing healings. I also spent my youth loving the great outdoors (hiking, fly fishing, canoeing) so the camps have been a perfect fit for family vacations and spiritual growth… things that I want other families to experience.

For the last twenty years, I’ve been volunteering for work weekends at the camps. Although my professional experience had been in sales management with big corporations (GE, Honeywell, Siemens), my Camp-Passionate experiences (working with kids, recruiting TCF Representatives, and finding camp supporters) have brought real joy to my life. I’d like to help your church members attend camp, too.

Kaki Green

I reside in Edgewater, FL., and started my career as a Certified Public Accountant. When my children were young I became a teacher and enjoyed many years as an educator, mentor to teachers, and Assistant Principal. As a lifelong fourth-generation Christian Scientist, I have served in several capacities in my Association and Branch Churches but top of the list is my camp-passion!

I was blessed to be a TCF Representative for northern Florida, and my two children have enjoyed several summers at Cedars where I volunteered. I have a deep love for children and a desire to work in the Christian Science community. I am excited to represent TCF as its Executive Director, carrying forward its mission and helping to bless the whole CS camp community.

Sara Glafcke

I’m looking forward to using my background in writing, communications, and working for nonprofits to help The Campership Fund. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Mass Communications. Since then, I have worked as a freelance writer, Reading Room librarian, and Asher House manager, in addition to time spent with other nonprofits. I grew up just outside of New York City and currently live in the St. Louis area.

As a child and teen, I had the opportunity to spend part of nine summers at three different Christian Science camps. I know they provided me with wonderful opportunities and experiences that I couldn’t have had elsewhere. I am grateful to now have the opportunity with TCF to help others have a memorable camp experience.
